NORMANDY, MO. – The Maryville men's basketball team make the trek to the north side of town but saw the University of Missouri-St. Louis heat up from 3-point range in a 99-72 decision over the Saints.
Henry Sanchez led four Saints in double figures with 20 points. The Tritons hit 17 3-pointers in the game to key the victory.Â

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints fell behind early before
Evan Palmquist sank a 3-pointer for the first points of the game.
Eric Hackett scored three straight points before the Tritons reeled off seven in-a-row to build a double-digit lead.
Henry Sanchez scored in the lane before Palmquist sank another from deep. Hackett sandwiched jumpers around a bucket by
Kobe Clark as the Saints stayed close at 29-18. UMSL used an 11-3 run to extend its lead. Hackett scored his 10th point of the half but the Tritons slowly built a 56-31 lead at the break.

The Saints made a push in the second half with a 7-0 surge.
Noah Courtney started the run with a layup, and Sanchez nailed consecutive 3-pointers to bring Maryville to 60-41. The Tritons answered with back-to-back 3-pointers of their own to extend the lead back over 20 points. Maryville was unable to get the margin back below 20 the rest of the game as the Tritons closed out the contest.
