INDIANAPOLIS – Maryville baseball was voted to finish third in the Great Lakes Valley Conference preseason coaches' poll for the upcoming season, the league office announced Wednesday.
The preseason poll is determined by the league's head coaches, who, per GLVC bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own team.
Maryville tallied two first-place votes and 169 total points. The Saints return GLVC Freshman of the Year
Jace Burton, along with Second Team All-GLVC honoree
Ty Rauser.
Action begins Friday, Feb. 6, as the Saints head to Magnolia, Ark., for a three-game set with Southern Arkansas.
