INDIANAPOLIS - The Maryville women's basketball team earned the No. 2 seed for the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament and takes on No. 7-seed Quincy in the quarterfinals Thursday, March 5, at 2:15 pm in the Mark Twain Building on the campus of the University of Missouri-St. Louis. The No. 2 seed is tied for the highest Maryville has ever been for the GLVC Tournament, matching the two seed of the 2012-13 team.
The Saints set a program mark for wins in a season with a 22-6 record and also broke the GLVC wins milestone with a 16-4 slate. Quincy finished the season with a record of 15-12 overall mark, 12-8 in the GLVC. The Saints won the only meeting between the teams a week ago with an 85-60 decision in Moloney Arena on Feb. 19.

The Saints are making their 13th appearance in the GLVC Tournament and won the 2012 championship. If Maryville advances to the semifinals, it will face the winner of the No. 3 Drury-No. 6 Truman State tilt Saturday, March 7, at 2:15 pm. The championship game is slated for Sunday, March 8, at 1 p.m. The other quarterfinal matchups are No. 1 UMSL vs No. 8 Upper Iowa, and No. 4 McKendree vs No. 5 Lewis.
