ST. LOUIS  –
Wyatt Robertson fired in five goals as the No. 4 Maryville men's lacrosse team opened the 2026 season with a 12-3 romp over Davenport. The Saints scored nine straight goals to pull away in the second and third quarters.
Luke Chorlton and
Colin Tobias both tallied two goals apiece. Goalie
Evan Alfano limited the Panthers to just three goals and made three saves.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints took a 3-2 lead after goals by Robertson, Tobias and
Brenden Bloedel. Robertson, the junior transfer from Cleveland State, opened the second quarter with two more scores to complete his hat trick and ignite the decisive 9-0 run. Tobias tallied his second as the Saints took a 6-2 lead at halftime.

Maryville dominated the third quarter with four unanswered goals.
Flint Thielen started the spree in the third with
Luke Chorlton finding the back of the net. After Robertson's fourth,
John Chorlton tallied a pole goal to push the Saints advantage to 10-2 after 45 minutes. Robertson and
Luke Chorlton closed out the run. The Maryville defense held Davenport scoreless for 40:34 between the end of the first quarter and late in the fourth frame.
