CRESTVIEW HILLS, KY. – The Maryville men's volleyball team stretched its winning streak to eight as it cruised past Thomas More 25-14, 25-20, 25-14. Maryville used a balance offensive attack while holding TMU to just an .065 hitting percentage.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED
Up by one, the Saints scored four straight points to surge ahead. AJ Robateau had a solo block and a kill to key the burst. Holding a 9-4 edge, the Saints took control with seven straight points. Jake Usher had three kills in the spree. Makai Scott's kill ended the set at 25-14.
 
Maryville was holding a 10-8 edge before scoring three straight points. Jayden Rookhuyzen had a kill, and after a TMU error, Luke Martinez's kill put the margin at 13-8. The Saints went on a 4-1 run and Aidan Whitemountain's kill pushed the Saints on top 21-15. TMU closed to 24-20 but Robateau's kill closed out the second at 25-20.
 
The Saints took a small advantage in the third set and were up 10-8. Whitemountain had a kill before Usher served back-to-back aces. A TMU miscue made it 14-8. Still up 16-11, Maryville took control with five unanswered points. Scott had a kill to start the run. Ethan Tran recorded two straight service aces, and a TMU error extended the margin to 21-11. The Saints maintained a double-digit lead and Usher's kill ended the match at 25-14.
