HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints ran off five straight points to build a 7-2 lead. After a UJ service error, Nzioki and Tristan Benbow had a block. Nzioki put down a kill before the Maryville defense forced consecutive hitting errors. Following a Jimmies service error, Aidan Whitemountain had a kill and a solo rejection by Robateau made it 12-6. The margin was stood at 17-11 before the Saints reeled four unanswered points. Scott had two kills with a block by Robateau and Georgia Kouvaras capping the run for a 21-11 margin. A service ace by Kouvaras ended the set at 25-16.

Set two was tied at 6-6 until the Saints went on a 7-0 spree. Scott sparked the run with two kills and a pair of service aces for a 13-6 advantage. After a Jamestown point, the Saints tallied six of the next seven to build a double-digit margin. Whitemountain had three kills during the run, and a Benbow termination gave the Saints a 19-8 lead. A UJ service error gave the Saints the 25-12 win.

The Saints used a pair of kills from both Peter Zoczewka and Kouvaras and an ace by Scott for a 12-4 lead early in set three. Maryville's margin was still 18-13 before the Jimmies rallied to take a 20-18 advantage. Still down 22-19, a kill by Benbow and one from Soczewka cut the lead down to 22-21. UJ scored but the Saints tied the set at 23-23. The Jimmies took a 25-24 edge until the Saints put the match away. Luke Martinez hammered down a middle kill and UJ committed an error.
