The Maryville University women's basketball team will take on Midwest Region host and No. 1 ranked Grand Valley State in the first round of the 2026 NCAA Division II Tournament. The Saints will be the region's No. 8 seed and earned an automatic bid by winning the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament with an 83-76 double overtime victory over host Missouri-St. Louis. The Saints and Lakers will tip off Friday, March 13, at Grand Valley Field House in Allendale, Mich., at 4 p.m. CT / 5 p.m. ET.

The Saints will be making their second NCAA DII Tournament appearance and first since 2012. Maryville set a new program record with 25 wins this season and their second GLVC Championship crown. The Saints are on a season-best seven-game winning streak and have won 10 of their last 11 games. The GLVC is sending two conference teams to the NCAA Tournament as UMSL earned the seventh seed and face No. 2 Ferris State.
