PERU, IND. – The Maryville women's golf team advanced to the medal-match play semifinals of the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship by taking third place in the 54-hole stroke play portion of the tournament. The Saints posted scores of 308-312-314=934 to move on at Rock Hollow Golf Club. Maryville will face city-rival and No. 2 seed Missouri-St. Louis Sunday in a best-of-five individual matchup. Indianapolis earned the top seed and will take on fourth-seed Lewis in the other semifinal.

Fernanda Diaz-Pizarro led the Saints and finished seventh overall in stroke play. She carded rounds of 74-73-82=229.
Kylie Yiengst was second for Maryville and took 11th place overall. The freshman shot 78-81-74=233, while
Kelly Wang came home at 77-79-81=237.
Maddie Vanderheyden was one shot back at 238 and improved in each round with scores of 82-79-77.
Chloe Fong carded rounds at 79-91-87=257.

Ava Ray from Indianapolis took individual medalist honors with a three-under par total at 213. UIndy took the team crown with a total at 890. The Saints are next in action April 17-19 at the Great Lakes Valley Conference Championship tournament held at Rock Hollow Golf Club in Peru, Ind.
