ROLLA, Mo. – The Maryville baseball team saw a Saturday doubleheader get split on the road against the Missouri S&T Miners. The Saints saw
Ryan Hoshaw dominate game one on the way to a 2-1 victory, while the Miner's bats came alive for game two for a 18-6 S&T win.
Game one saw Hoshaw go six innings of two-hit ball, giving up one unearned run on the day.
Collin Greiner snagged his seventh save of the season in the win, tying the single-season program record in the progress.
Steven Schneider tallied three RBIs in game two in the losing effort.

GAME 1 | Maryville 2, Missouri S&T 1
The contest was scoreless through the first three frames, with the Saints stranding two on base in the first and the third, meanwhile Hoshaw retired the first nine batters he faced in order.
The Saints broke through in the top of the fourth, scoring both of their runs, the first on a
Tim Leark RBI triple, with
Aaris Stolte scoring him right after on a left field single.
S&T responded with their own run on an E6, but that would be the end of the scoring for the day as Maryville trounced to the 2-1 win.

GAME 2 | Missouri S&T 18, Maryville 6
Despite Maryville plating a run in the top of the first on a Schneider single, S&T started their piling on of offense. Four runs came to pass in the first. An RBI in the second by
Zane Timon cut into the deficit with
Jack Meyer and Schneider using back-to-back knocks in the third to make it 5-4 Maryville.
The hometown Miners did not take the comeback lightly, tying the game and punching the Saints starter out after just seven outs. S&T ended the frame by scoring five more runs to bring the score to 10-5.
Jace Burton dipped into the deficit via a
Jace Burton sac fly RBI, but another six-run inning by S&T ballooned the lead to 16-6, later turning into 18-6.
