CLAREMORE, Okla. – The Maryville men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the 2026 season Saturday morning, falling 3-1 to No. 4-ranked Rogers State at Soldier Field.

The Hillcats scored three times in the first half before
Jan Fulnek broke through for the Saints in the 80th minute.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Maryville generated three shots on goal in the opening 16 minutes, but Rogers State goalkeeper stopped each attempt.

The Hillcats opened the scoring in the 19th minute and doubled their advantage in the 35th. Rogers State added another goal with just over two minutes remaining in the half to take a 3-0 lead into the break.

Maryville held the Hillcats scoreless in the second half and cut into the deficit at 79:36. After his initial attempt was blocked, Fulnek collected the rebound and found the back of the net.

The Saints continued to press late, putting two shots on goal in the final seven minutes, but were unable to draw any closer.

Fulnek led Maryville with four shots and three attempts on goal.
Alex Smeins added three shots, while
Enzo Manga Mbassa recorded two.
