Maryville takes on William Jewell in a rematch Thursday, Feb. 2, and then heads to Kansas City to face Rockhurst Saturday, Feb. 4. ABOUT WILLIAM JEWELL
The Cardinals are 6-11 overall, 2-8 in the league. The duo of Nick Larson and Mark Mason head the WJU efforts. Larson averages a double-double with 17.5 ppg, which ranks fifth in the conference, and 10.6 rpg, good for second in the GLVC. Mason is second on the team with 15.1 ppg. The Cardinals score 67.2 ppg and give up 66.5 ppg. Maryville posted a 67-52 win in Moloney Arena on Jan. 21.
ABOUT ROCKHURST
The Hawks stand at 6-13 overall, 3-8 in the conference. Brandon McCann and James Robinson lead the Rockhurst attack with 10.7 and 10.2 ppg, respectively. Kareem Amedu is RU’s leading rebounder at 4.7 rpg. Liam Duffy leads the league in 3-point field goal shooting at 52.3 percent. The Hawks score 62.1 ppg and allow 72.6 ppg.
ABOUT OAKLAND CITY
The Mighty Oaks are 14-6 and had a four-game winning streak snapped in their last outing. Three of their losses are to Division I teams, including Evansville, Butler and Eastern Illinois. Mitch Stahl leads OCU with 17.9 ppg and 6.0 rpg, while Maurice Fuller scores 14.6 ppg and has hit 54 3-pointers. Oakland City averages 82.8 ppg and surrenders only 66.8. The Saints posted a 66-63 win at OCU on Nov. 22, 2011.

Asa Toney leads the Saints in scoring at 12.5 ppg, is second on the team with 44 assists and 24 steals. Junior
Gerald Shaw is second on the team with 10.0 ppg and has a team-high 38 3-pointers. Junior Ryan Shotkoski tops the team with 48 assists and steals with 25. In the last NCAA report (Jan. 30), Maryville is 16th in the country in 3-point field goals made with 8.8 per game and 22nd in scoring defense at 62.0. Head coach
Kevin Carroll is in his second year at Maryville and has compiled a 16-28 overall record.

Asa Toney, the Saints dropped a 57-51 overtime decision at Illinois-Springfield. Maryville’s defense held UIS to just 16 field goals. The Saints fell behind early to Quincy and were unable to close the gap to fall 61-42 to the Hawks.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Saints continue a four-game homestand as when they welcome Drury to Moloney Arena Thursday, Feb. 9, for a 7:30 p.m. game, and Missouri S&T Saturday, Feb. 11 for a 3:15 p.m. contest.
