The Maryville men’s basketball team (12-11 overall, 5-10 GLVC) hosts Senior Day Thursday, Feb. 16, in a 7:30 p.m. game against Illinois Springfield. Senior Jacob Dulle and Ryan Shotkoski, who will be graduating this year, will be honored just prior to the game. The Saints head to Quincy Saturday, Feb. 18 for a 3:15 p.m. contest.
ABOUT ILLINOIS SPRINGFIELD
The Prairie Stars are 13-11 overall, 10-5 in the GLVC and have won their last three games. Jermaine Love-Roberts tops UIS with 16.7 ppg and the GLVC in free throw shooting at 87.8 percent, while Michael Fakuade leads the GLVC in rebounding at 11.5 rpg and blocked shots at 3.6 per game.The Prairie Stars score 71.8 ppg while giving up 72.2 ppg. The Saints dropped a 57-51 overtime decision in Springfield Jan. 26.
ABOUT QUINCY
The Hawks are 17-6 overall, 10-5 in the league and have won seven of their last eight games. Justin Brock leads QU and is fourth in the GLVC in scoring at 17.7 ppg, and he adds 7.8 rpg. Courtney Belger chips in 12.1 ppg and has distributed 89 assists. The Hawks average 74.1 ppg and surrender 64.2 ppg. The Hawks downed the Saints 61-42 in St. Louis Jan. 28.

Sophomore
Asa Toney leads the Saints in scoring at 12.7 ppg and steals (33) and is tied for the team lead with 60 assists. Junior
Gerald Shaw is second on the team with 11.0 ppg and has a team-high 51 3-pointers. Freshman
Armon Provo adds 9.4 ppg, is tied for the team lead with 60 assists. In the last NCAA report (Feb. 13), Maryville is 22nd in the country in 3-point field goals made with 8.7 per game and 24th in scoring defense at 62.2. Head coach
Kevin Carroll is in his second year at Maryville and has compiled a 19-30 overall record.

RECAPPING LAST WEEK
Armon Provo tied his career high with 17 points while hitting 6-of-7 shots from the field to lead four Maryville players in double figures as the Saints downed Drury 73-55 last Thursday. Maryville dropped an 85-75 contest to Missouri S&T Saturday afternoon.
