Winners of six of their last seven games, the Saints (12-9 overall, 8-5 GLVC) host two teams just ahead of them in the Great Lakes Valley Conference standings. Co-Division leader Drury visits Moloney Arena Thursday, Feb. 9, for a 5:15 p.m. game. The Missouri S&T, which sits in third place in the GLVC West, comes to town Saturday, Feb. 11, in a 1 p.m. tip.
CLOSING IN ON 1,000
Junior Abby Duethman has scored 975 points in her career and is on pace to surpass the 1,000-point plateau this season. She can become the seventh Maryville player to reach that mark.
ABOUT DRURY
The Lady Panthers are 15-6 overall, 10-3 in the GLVC. Bethanie Funderburk leads the team with 15.4 ppg, and Katie Pritchard adds 12.0 ppg and has hit 49 3-pointers. Abby Bracker is Drury’s leading rebounder at 6.0 per game. The Lady Panthers average 66.4 ppg and give up 62.9 ppg. Drury narrowly escaped the Saints 86-84 in Springfield Dec. 3.
ABOUT MISSOURI S&T
The Miners are 14-6 overall, 9-4 in the conference and play at UMSL before coming to Moloney Arena. The duo of Hailee Parks and Julie Meyer leads the way. Parks scores 14.4 ppg and grabs 7.4 rpg, while Meyer adds 10.5 ppg and 6.0 rpg. The Miners 63.8 ppg and allow just 57.2. The Miners won the first meeting 66-47 Dec. 1 in Rolla.

Junior forward Abby Duethman leads the way with 15.2 ppg and 7.7 rpg. She is shooting 50.9 percent from the field and is second on the team with 44 assists. Freshman guard Shelby Miller is second on the team with 10.8 ppg and has hit 34 3-pointers to go along with 37 steals. Sophomore guard JoAnn Thompson leads the team with 58 assists and 40 steals. The Saints are 25th in the nation in 3-point field goals per game at 7.0.

RECAPPING LAST WEEK
The Saints sank 10 3-pointers at William Jewell to post a 61-52 victory last Thursday. Abby Duethman recorded her fifth double-double of the season with 20 points and 10 rebounds as Maryville moved past Rockhurst 78-54 Saturday.
THAT IS WHY THEY ARE FREE
Maryville is shooting a sparkling 80.0 percent (304-of-380) from the charity stripe to rank second in the country (as of Feb. 5). Shelby Miller leads the team and GLVC at 88.7 percent (47-of-53), while Kate Childs is converting at 86.4 percent (38-of-44) at the stripe.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Saints close out the home portion of the regular season Thursday, Feb. 16, when Illinois-Springfield comes to town for a 5:15 p.m. start. The game has been designated as a “Think Pink” game to raise awareness for breast cancer. The Saints will be donning pink jerseys for the contest. Maryville heads to Quincy Saturday, Feb. 18.
