Maryville University head women’s basketball coach Chris Ellis and the 2012 Great Lakes Valley Conference champion Saints will take part in a two-hour radio show Sunday, April 1, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. on KFNS radio, 590 AM. The show, which will be co-hosted by Jeff Lottman, will also be streamed live on the internet at
www.kfns.com.
Coach Ellis and Saints student-athletes will recap their 2011-12 basketball season which was highlighted by the Saints winning four consecutive games to claim their first GLVC Tournament title and earning the program’s first NCAA Division II Tournament bid since moving from Division III. Topics to be discussed include life at Maryville University, the general recruiting process of student-athletes, the GLVC as well as the upcoming Division I Women’s Final Four in Denver.
Student-athletes scheduled to be on the program include first-team All-Conference selection Abby Duethman, junior co-captain Kate Childs, GLVC Freshman of the Year Shelby Miller and GLVC All-Tournament honoree, St. Louis native and Incarnate Word graduate Rita Flynn.
