Abby Duethman tied her career high with 27 points and recorded her third straight double-double with 10 rebounds to lead the Maryville women’s basketball team to a 65-53 victory over Drury Thursday afternoon.
The Saints led 10-6 before using a 10-1 run to extend a 20-7 lead eight minutes into the game. Maryville still held a ten-point lead before the Lady Panthers chipped away at the deficit and closed to three points. The Saints settled for a 25-21 lead at halftime.

Kayla Person hit a wing jumper and Miller swiped the ball and cruised in for a layup and a 52-43 lead with six minutes to go. The Lady Panthers drew as close as 54-47 with 3:48 left to play but
Rita Flynn powered inside for a hoop, and McSparron converted one free throw as the Maryville advantage never fell below 10 the rest of the way.
Duethman sank 9-of-13 shots en route to her 27 points and saw six of her double-digit rebounds come on the offensive end. McSparron added 15 points, including 9-of-10 shooting from the line. Katie Pritchard led Drury (8-8, 2-6 GLVC) with 22 points.
The Saints improve to 9-7 overall, 5-3 in the league. Maryville hosts Missouri S&T Saturday in a 1 p.m. start in Moloney Arena.
