Derek Deters and
Jamel Johnson sank back-to-back 3-pointers, and a layup from Toney brought the deficit down to 60-50 with 12:17 left in the game. Drury settled down and scored six points in a row to edge back out to a 66-50 lead. The Saints made one more push on a Deters trey, and two Jerrett free throws. When
Armon Provo converted a 3-pointer, the Saints drew to 68-58 with 6:05 to play. A Toney layup cut the Drury advantage to 71-60 but the Panthers scored the next nine points and eased to the win.
