Alex Flasch came through with the RBI single for what would prove to be the game winner.  The Saints tallied two more runs in the fifth. Celci Mueller doubled, and Twisselman waked to put two runners on. The duo moved up after a passed ball and scored after a Miners fielding miscue. Jouglard shut down Missouri S&T as the Miners did not record a hit after the fourth inning.

In game two, Missouri S&T starting pitcher Becca Strope retired the first 15 Saints batters as the Miners slowly built up a 6-0 lead. Maryville finally got a baserunner when Lacy Emrick walked in the sixth. She eventually reached third base, and Kaela Bennett walked to put two aboard. Shelby Steinkamp hit a long sac fly to finally get the Saints on the board. Twisselman singled for Maryville’s first hit and plated the second run. The Saints got two runners on base in the seventh, but the Miners did not allow Maryville another run for a split on the day.
