The Saints fell 8-4 to St. Cloud State and were edged 3-2 by Southwest Minnesota State. Maryville is back in action Wednesday with two more contests.

St. Cloud State struck for two runs in the top of the first but the Saints came right back with two of their own. Shelby Steinkamp singled, Karlie Twisselman had a bunt single, and Kelsey Kapitzke was hit by a pitch to load the bases. On a wild pitch, the Saints were aggressive and sent the runner from third. Steinkamp was thrown out at the plate, but the Saints reloaded the bases on a Jennifer Maynez walk. Alex Flasch doubled in two runs to tie the game. The Huskies pushed across four runs in the top of the third to retake the lead. Maryville responded with two runs in the bottom of the third. Kapitzke walked and Nicole Taylor was hit by a pitched. Maynez drilled a single to right to cut the deficit to 6-4 but the Saints were unable to bring in any more runs. St. Cloud sealed the win with two tallies in the top of the sixth.

In the second game of the tourney, Southwest Minnesota pushed across one run in the second but the Saints kept SMSU from doing further damage by stranding two runners in scoring position. Maryville took the lead with two runs in the third. Danni Wydra singled, and Sarah Goodman reached on an error. Ashley Marks dropped a single into left to load the bases for Twisselman. She promptly doubled to right as the Saints surged ahead 2-1. Southwest Minnesota had a leadoff triple lead to a run which tied the game and set the stage for SMSU's go-ahead run. In the bottom of the fifth, after a walk, two infield singles short loaded the bases. A walk forced in as SMSU scored without having a ball reach the outfield. The Saints had their best chance to tie the game in the sixth but stranded two runners aboard the basepaths.
