Max Mischkulnig hit 9-of-13 shots en route to 20 points, and
Saikou Jallow dished out 11 assists without a turnover as the Maryville men's basketball team sprinted past Robert Morris-Peoria 100-64. The Saints scored their most points since tallying 103 against St. Louis Christian Nov. 11, 2013.

Mischkulnig scored on a short jumper on the first possession, and
Damyan Stoyanov drilled a corner 3-pointer for a quick 5-0 lead. After the Eagles sank one free throw,
Marvin Grant-Clark hit two free throws and a layup for a 9-1 edge. Maryville still led 14-5 before a triple from
Forrester Sims pushed the lead to double-digits. Later in the half,
Derek Deters knocked down a 3-pointer, Mischkulnig scored inside, and
Karson King scored on a layup for a 28-9 advantage. The Saints eventually settled for a 46-32 lead at halftime.

The Maryville cushion was still 52-37 before the Saints reeled off a 12-5 burst to take a 64-42 margin. After a 3-pointer by
Jeff Leeson, Ben Volkman scored on a layup, and a trey by Deters was good for an 82-50 lead. The Saints' lead never dipped below 30 as Maryville cruised to its first victory of the season. Maryville hit 23-of-36 shots (63.9 percent) in the second half and finished at 57.6 percent on 38-of-66 shooting.

In addition to his 20 points Mischkulnig added a game-high eight rebounds and three blocked shots. Deters hit 4-of-5 from beyond the arc and finished with a career-high 16 points, while Grant-Clark added 14 points.
Grant Sims finished with 10 points. Jallow's 11 assists led the way to 30 total assists for the Saints. Kevin Ogunjimi and Joshua Dehann led Robert Morris-Peoria (0-4) with 11 points apiece.

The Saints (1-3) are back in action Monday, Nov. 23, as they host Iowa Wesleyan in a 7 p.m. contest.
