Lynn scored two runs in the fifth and continued the charge with two more runs in the bottom of the seventh. However, Macias closed out the game for the complete-game win with eight strikeouts.

Game two only saw runs scored in two innings but the Knights earned the split with a five-run outburst in the fourth inning. Lynn used a three-run homer among three extra-base hits in the frame to take a 5-0 lead. The Saints answered with two runs in the top of the fifth. Flasch and Livingston singled to open the inning, and Taylor walked to load the bases.
Kelsey Martin ripped a two-run double up the middle to cut the Maryville deficit to 5-2. The Saints stranded a runner at third in the sixth and missed out on a chance to trim the deficit even more. In their final at-bat, the Saint put the first two runners on. However, a hard-hit liner turned potential runs into a double play as Maryville was unable to score again.
