What Happened
On day two of the Midwest Region Crossover, the Maryville volleyball team battled Saginaw Valley to four sets and fell in three to Purdue Northwest Saturday in Aurora, Ill. The Saints won set one 26-24 versus SVSU but the Cardinals won the next three. PNW posted a 25-15, 25-23, 25-19 win.

Allison Lakin recorded another double-double with 19 kills and 15 digs to go along with five blocks versus Saginaw Valley.
Cassidy Arndt finished with 12 kills.
Ashley Selman was big on the defensive end and came up with seven blocks. The Saints hit a match-best .250 to win set one as they finished with 15 kills in the stanza. The set was tied at 24-24 before
Addison Plant served and ace to get to set point. The Saints forced SVSU into a hitting error to win the opener 26-24.

Against Purdue Northwest, Allison Lakin paced the Saints with 10 kills, while Cassidy Arndt chipped in nine kills.
Maggie Murphy recorded 14 digs, while
Kayla Buxton added 17 assists. The Saints had their best hitting percentage in set two as they hit .250. The second set featured 10 ties and six lead changes.
