What Happened
The Saints scored four of the first five points but the Cardinals cranked up their offense and hit .333 to move to a 25-18 win. In set two, the Saints used a 4-0 burst to build a 9-4 edge. WJC rallied with six straight points and surged ahead. The teams traded points and the Saints closed to 20-19. However, the Cardinals scored five straight to win the set.

Set three saw the Saints holding a 9-8 lead before ripping off four straight points for a 13-9 lead. The Cardinals inched to 16-13 but the Saints steadied themselves with two blocks during a 3-0 run. Maryville used a late 4-0 outburst and took the set 25-19. The fourth set was tied five times before William Jewell tallied five consecutive points to close out the match.
