Women's Basketball Inks Five to NLIs

The Maryville University women's basketball team announced that five student-athletes have signed National Letters of Intent to attend the University and play for the Saints. Joining Maryville and head coach Collin Lanam for the 2018-19 season are: Erika Hendrixson (Petersburg, Ind. / Pike Central); Jayda Jansen (Sun Prairie, Wis. / Sun Prairie); Taylor Kirby (Milwaukee, Wis. / Saint Thomas More); Cici Rindy (Waunakee, Wis. / Waunakee); and Hunter Stidham (Dayton, Ohio / Valley View).
 
Hendrixson is a 6-foot forward who averaged 14.9 ppg and 8.7 rpg as a junior for the Chargers. She was an All-Pocket Athletic Conference first team selection last season, and was honorable mention as a sophomore. Hendrixson played for the Indiana Elite SWISH AAU team.
 
A 5-foot-9 guard, Jansen averaged 16.8 points, five rebounds and 3.5 assists per game during her junior season at Sun Prairie High School. She was a Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Association All State honoree and a first-team All-Conference selection after her sophomore and junior years. Jansen played for the AAU team Wisconsin Basketball Academy.
 
A 6-foot-1 forward, Kirby finished her junior season nearly averaging a double-double at 15.4 ppg and 9.8 rpg for Saint Thomas More High School. She was voted first-team All-Metro Classic Conference her sophomore season and was All-MCC honorable mention last year. Kirby played for the Wisconsin Impact AAU team.
 
Rindy is a 6-foot forward who was a first-team All-Conference selection after her sophomore and junior seasons at Waunakee High School. Last year, she posted 11.2 points and 9.8 rebounds a game. As a freshman, Rindy earned All-Conference honorable mention honors. She was an AAU teammate of Jayda Jansen on the Wisconsin Basketball Academy.
 
Stidham stands 5-foot-10 and is a guard/forward for Valley View High School. She earned Southwestern Buckeye League Player of the Year honors after her junior year. Stidham averaged 16.5 ppg, nine rpg and four apg last season and was an Associated Press All-District Honorable Mention selection. She played for the Dayton Lady Hoopstars AAU team.
