The Maryville volleyball squad closed out its road swing with a match at No. 4 Lewis but the Flyers proved worthy of their ranking. The downed the Saints 25-10, 25-17, 25-10. The fourth-ranked Flyers are the highest rated team the Saints have played since facing No. 2 Nebraska-Kearney Sept. 7, 2012.

What Happened
Lewis flew out of the gate in set one by scoring the first five points.
Cassidy Arndt had Maryville's first point but the Flyers stretched their edge to eight to win the opener.

In set two, the Saints got a kill by
Taylor Schellert and two miscues by Lewis gave Maryville a 4-3 lead. Later,
Ashley Selman finished a play with a kill to tie the set 6-6 before the Flyers went on a 7-0 run and eventually took a 2-0 lead in sets.

The Saints scored the first point in set three before Lewis eased ahead 4-1. Arndt put down a kill, and Maryville got as close at 5-3. However, the Flyers scored eight of the next 10 points and kept their margin to end the match.
