St. Louis - The No. 23 Maryville wrestling team posted a 2-1 slate at the Dr. Mark Lombardi Duels Sunday to close out regular season action. The Saints defeated Ouachita Baptist 41-7 and downed Limestone 22-14 before falling to No. 2 Notre Dame College 30-10 at Moloney Arena.

Against OBU, the Saints stormed to wins in the first five weight classes. After a forfeit at 125,
Taylor Jokerst posted a 15-4 major at 133, and
Will Roark did the same in an 11-1 major at 141.
James Krischke pinned his 149 foe in 2:21, and
Matt Pratt recorded a 6-2 decision at 157 for a 23-0 lead. Ouachita Baptist won at 165 but
Tyler Harrington had a fall at 2:06 for the 174 win, and
Bailey Kelly notched a pin of his 184 foe at 6:29.
John Anderson ran the fall streak to three with a pin at 3:29 in the 197 division.

Versus Limestone,
Tyler Kreith won at 125 with a 5-3 decision. Limestone took the 133 match but Roark followed with a 6-4 decision at 141. Krischke had his second straight fall on the day, this one coming in 3:42. Limestone won at 157 but
Nick McGhee grabbed a 10-4 win at 165, and Harrington added an 8-5 decision. Kelly clinched the team win with a 16-5 major.

The defending national champions grabbed the early lead by winning the first two matches before Roark won a high-scoring 14-11 decision to complete a 3-0 day. The Falcons kept up the pressure and took the next four bouts. The Saints picked up a major as Kelly rolled to a 14-5 victory. Anderson followed up and worked out a 3-1 win. However, the Falcons closed out their day with a perfect 3-0 slate.
The Saints will next be in action at the NCAA Super Regionals Feb. 23-24 hosted in St. Cloud, Minn.
