Zach Colletta added 18. The Maryville defense shut down the Bearcat attack and limited McKendree to just 31.1 percent shooting from the field. Maryville tied the school record for fewest turnovers committed with only five.

With the score tied at 11-11, the Saints scored 11 straight to double up the Bearcats.
Robin Thompson started the run with a basket and
Casey Teson added one free throw. Thompson then scored back-to-back buckets.
Jordan Gary knocked down a jumper, and another bucket by Thompson was good for a 22-11 edge. After the Bearcats scored,
Eugene Jones made two free throws and
Dezmond McDaniel drained a 3-pointer for the largest lead of the game at 27-13 with 3:32 to play. McKendree made a late run and cut Maryville's margin at halftime to 29-22.

In the second half, the Bearcats inched closer and slowly trimmed the Maryville lead to 44-37 at the 13:12 mark. The Saints answered with a 12-0 burst to take control.
Jordan Oliver had three straight points, and Teson nailed a jumper.
Bobby Harvey knocked down a corner 3-pointer, and Thompson powered up for another bucket inside for a 56-37 advantage with 6:11 remaining in the game. Five straight free throws pushed the Maryville cushion to its largest of the night at 61-39 with 4:34 left to clinch the league win.
