St. Louis – Graduate senior Sam Danker (Fayette, Iowa/North Fayette) has been named Great Lakes Valley Conference Baseball Student-Athlete of the Week for the period ending April 5, 2020. 
 
Danker is working on his master's in business administration and was an anchor in the bullpen for the Saints. He appeared in four games and was credited with a save before the season ended due to COVID-19 concerns. He also earned GLVC Academic All-Conference honors the past four years.
 
Here is what Danker had to say about his major and what he plans to do after graduation:
 
"I chose my undergrad because I knew that marketing had a broad scope and would open up many future possibilities", stated Danker. "I chose to pursue my master's in business administration because it allowed me to continue my dream of playing collegiate baseball and further my academic career simultaneously. My aspirations following graduation are to take the lessons baseball has taught me and apply them to a position that allows me to exercise leadership and work with a motivated and hardworking team."
