The National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced the 2021 NFCA Division II All-Region teams with
Alyssa Callans and
Taylor Shingler both earning first-team All-Region honors. Both players are now eligible for the 2021 NFCA All-American squads. In addition, Callans and Shingler were voted to the D2 Conference Commissioner's Association All-Midwest Regional Softball Team, as selected by the region's sports information directors.

Playing outfield, Shingler led the Saints and ranked fourth in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a .422 batting average, which was fourth in the league for players who played at least 20 games. The junior paced the Saints with 43 hits and was second with 15 RBIs. Shingler drew a team-best 17 walks and paced Maryville with a .508 on-base percentage. In addition, she swiped 21 bases on 24 attempts.

Callans, a graduate student, earned her honor at utility/pitcher. She finished the season with a team-high 30 RBI and 60 total bases. Callans launched five home runs, six doubles and two triples. She recorded a team-best .571 slugging percentage. In the pitching circle, Callans amassed a 17-6 record with a 1.68 ERA. In 150-1/3 innings pitches, she notched 162 strikeouts and held opponents to just a .197 batting average. Earlier this year, Callans was the NFCA Division II Pitcher of the Week after throwing a no-hitter and following up in her next outing with a perfect game.
