The Maryville men's volleyball program begins its inaugural NCAA season this week with three road contests. The Saints play the program's first match Tuesday, Jan. 11, at No. 8 Lewis. Maryville will also face No. 15 Ball State Thursday, Jan. 13, and Purdue Fort Wayne Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, to start its campaign.
 
"We are excited for this inaugural men's season with the opportunity to open with three storied and talented teams," Saints head coach Mike Haston said. "We have a dedicated group of student-athletes that are fully committed to the process of building a successful program that will transcend their time here."
 
The first home contest for the Saints will occur Friday, Jan. 21, as Culver-Stockton visits Moloney Arena for a 7 p.m. match.  The Saints have an initial squad of 19 student-athletes in their debut season, which includes 10 freshman. Haston, who has five seasons as a head coach from his time at Fontbonne, directs the first-year program, and Tyler Fenton will serve as his assistant coach.
