ST. LOUIS – Maryville men's soccer will play host to the final rounds of the Great Lakes Valley Conference Men's Soccer Championship Tournament as the highest remaining seed in the bracket. Both the semifinal and championship rounds will be played at Maryville Soccer Field this weekend.
The Saints earned home-field advantage for the remainder of the conference tournament after an improbable comeback from two goals down against eighth-seeded Missouri S&T on Sunday. Maryville came back to tie the game in the final 20 minutes and advanced over the Miners 4-3 in penalty kicks.
The semifinal round is set for Friday, Nov. 4, with (2) Lewis taking on (3) Indianapolis at 11 a.m. followed by (5) Illinois Springfield against (1) Maryville at 2 p.m. The winners will play in the GLVC Championship match at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 6, at the Maryville Soccer Field.
Admission will be $10 for adults to enter and free for all Maryville students with their student IDs. Children under the age of five can enter for free.
