St. Louis – In a clash of ranked squads, the No. 18 Maryville wrestling team rallied to topple No. 12 Indianapolis 20-17 Wednesday evening in Moloney Arena. The Saints used late wins by
Taylor Jokerst and
Tyler Stegall to cap the stirring comeback victory.

Donavan Whitted posted a 4-2 decision. UIndy came back with a tech fall but
Bret Heil took his match at 174 with a 4-3 win.
Joey Williams cranked out a 10-2 major at 184 to push the Saints ahead. The Greyhounds claimed the contest at 197 but
Ryan Herman won a thriller at 285 with a 6-4 sudden victory decision.

UIndy took the lead with wins at 125 and 133 to take a 17-13 edge in the team score. Jokerst grounded out a 3-1 decision at 141 to pull the Saints to 17-16 to set up the critical final match. At 149,
Tyler Stegall took the early lead with a takedown and slowly pulled away for an 8-0 major and the decisive points.
