St. Louis – The Maryville wrestling team dominated Quincy in a 35-6 victory Saturday evening in Moloney Arena. The Saints won eight matches in the contest to roll to the triumph. Maryville recorded two falls and two tech falls.

Quincy won the first bout at 125 before
JP Homfeld shutout his 133 opponent 3-0.
Taylor Jokerst battled for a 7-6 decision at 141, and
Tyler Stegall cruised to a 7-2 win in the 149 weight class.
Donavan Whitted recorded a 29-13 tech fall as he registered 13 takedowns and a reversal to pile up the points at 157.

Cole Ritter dominated his 165 contest with a 19-3 tech fall, and
Bret Heil recorded a quick fall in just 1:30 to win at 174.
Joey Williams authored another shutout as he blanked his 184 for 10-0 for a major. The Quincy took the match at 197 before
Ryan Herman closed out the evening with a fall at 3:58 in the heavyweights.

The Saints are next in action Saturday, Feb. 4, when they head to Indianapolis for the Greyhound Duals. Maryville faces King University, Glenville State and Kentucky Wesleyan.
