KANSAS CITY – Maryville University women's soccer held on to a 3-2 win despite a second-half surge from Rockhurst University on Sunday afternoon. The Saints took a 2-0 lead in the first half before 
Ashlyne Hunt's goal at 87:17 gave them the insurance they needed for the victory.
 
Run of Play:
	- Halle Ezell scored the first goal of the game at 7:28 when she jumped for a contested header and sent the Tori Calvert cross into the back of the net for a 1-0 advantage.
- Gigi Yurevich was forced to make the first of four saves today at 14:55 when Anna Lantz put a low shot on goal.  
- In the 17th minute, Elsa Nilson-Hurtig collected a rebound off a deflected shot in a crowded box and sent a low shot by the goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
- Gabby Hennessy tested Yurevich again at 27:19 but was turned aside.
- The Hawks cut the lead in half on a goal from Sarah Gilmore at 54:10.
- With a little over three minutes remaining in the game, Ashlyne Hunt buried a header off a loose ball from a corner kick to make the lead 3-1.
- Rockhurst took the next kickoff, dribbled the ball into the Maryville goalkeeper's box, and found Anna Lantz for a goal to pull back within one at 87:17.
- Maryville held off one last Hawk push in the final two minutes to hang on to a 3-2 victory.
