INDIANAPOLIS – Goals from
Halle Ezell,
Ashlyne Hunt, and
Nika Vemdal powered Maryville University to a 3-0 road win over the University of Indianapolis on Sunday afternoon. The Saints improved to 9-2-3 overall and 7-1-2 in the Great Lakes Valley Conference.

Run of Play:
- Lexi Gentry put the first shot on goal in the sixth minute but had a low attempt saved by UIndy keeper Sabrina Shaw.
- A few minutes later, Gentry sent a corner kick to Halle Ezell that she bodied past the UIndy netminder to open a 1-0 lead at 8:24.
- At 13:26, Sara Lawler found Gentry with a pass which she pushed up to a wide-open Ashlyne Hunt. The redshirt sophomore nudged a shot to the right, past a charging goalkeeper to make it 2-0.
- The Greyhounds put their first and only shot on goal at 31:21 when Emma Lopp was rejected by Gigi Yurevich in the bottom-left corner of the goal.
- Maryville made it 3-0 in the 36th minute when Nika Vemdal settled a rebound off an Allison Estanich shot on goal and scored her fourth of the season.
- The Saints wrapped up the win in the second half, allowing no more shots on goal while outshooting UIndy 15-5 over the course of the game.

- Ashlyne Hunt took the team lead in goals with her fifth of the season and is now tied with Lexi Gentry for the team lead in points with 12.
- Gigi Yurevich now has seven shutouts in her first 14 career starts.
- Maryville is now 2-1-2 against UIndy in their last five matchups and picked up their first win against the Greyhounds since April 9, 2021.
