Owensboro, Ky. – For the second straight tournament, the Maryville women's golf team earned a runners-up finish as the Saints jumped up to second place at the Bill Crabtree Invitational conducted at The Pearl Club. Led by
Sydney McCord's T-5 finish, the Saints climbed three spots and only missed out on the team title by six shots with scores of 313-305=618 in the 15-team field.

McCord recorded three birdies in her final round and finished with a 76 and a tourney total of 151.
Effie Perakis grabbed her second straight top-10 finish as she had the Maryville's best score in round two with a 75 and finished at 154, to tie for ninth place. She had back-to-back birdies, and three on the day, to highlight her final 18 holes.

Ivy Lai came home at 78 for a two-day total of 159, while
Maggie King was one shot back at 160 following a 79 in round two.
Chloe Davidson shot was one additional stroke behind with a 161.
Jenna Clark trimmed 10 shots off her score in round two and finished at 162.

Ferris State held off the Maryville charge and finished the two rounds of play at 612. Lisa Marie Schumacher of Tiffin took the individual championship at 140. Â The Saints play their final fall tournament as they head to just outside of Nashville, Tenn., for the Music City Invitational Oct. 30-31.
