The Maryville volleyball team has earned the No. 6 seed for the 2023 Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament and will square off against No. 3 seed Quincy Friday, Nov. 17, at 8:30 p.m. in Williamsville, Ill. This is the second straight season the Saints have qualified for the GLVC tourney. The sixth seed is the best in program history.

The 22nd-ranked Hawks defeated the Saints in Moloney Arena on Sept. 23, by a 15-25-, 25-17, 25-21, 25-16 score. In the 2022 GLVC Tournament, the No. 1 Hawks ousted the No. 8 Saints 3-1. If Maryville advances, it would take on the winner of the No. 2 Lewis-No. 7 Indianapolis match at 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18.

The GLVC Tournament is being hosted at the Williamsville High School Fieldhouse. Each of the four quarterfinal winners from Friday, Nov. 17 will advance to the semifinals set for 2:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18. The winners of the semifinal matches will face each other Sunday, Nov. 19 at Noon for a shot at being crowned 2023 GLVC Volleyball Champions.
