INDIANAPOLIS – Anna Maxwell was named the Great Lakes Valley Conference Women's Bowling Athlete of the Week on Thursday afternoon. The junior from Westland, Mich., tallied a 10^th-place individual finish last weekend at the Motiv LadyJack Classic hosted by Stephen F. Austin in Kenosha, Wis.
 
Maxwell has been instrumental to the Saints all season and averaged 205.1 in baker play during a seventh-place finish for the team while filling 86 percent of the time with a spare 72.7 percent of the time. Maryville's total team pinfall was 13,416 with an overall average of 197.3.
 
In traditional games, she averaged an even better 210.8 with a 94 percent fill percentage, an 87.5 percent spare percentage, and a strike 52 percent of the time.  
 
On the docket next for Maxwell and the Saints is the Stormin' Blue & White Vegas Classic hosted by Mount St. Mary's University in Las Vegas, Nev. Baker play opens up on Monday, Jan. 8.
