ST. LOUIS – Late-game heroics from
Halle Ezell,
Ashlyne Hunt, and
Sara Lawler gave Maryville a 3-1 overtime win over Missouri S&T in the Great Lakes Valley Conference Quarterfinals on Sunday afternoon. The Saints were trailing 1-0 until
Halle Ezell's goal tied the game in the 80
th minute, followed soon after by Hunt's game-winner in the 92
nd minute.

Run of Play:
- Maryville took three shots in the first 50 seconds of the game with two coming from Elsa Nilson-Hurtig and one coming from Lexi Gentry.
- Ulrika Bredin put another shot on goal in the 15th minute but was denied by Anastasia Barcom in the bottom-right corner.
- The Miners scored the first goal of the game at 18:24 when Amelia Mundo found Jenna Marti for her first goal of the season.
- The Saints had their best scoring chance of the first half in the 33rd minute when Gina Catanzaro headed a pass from Bredin on goal, but Barcom was up to the task.
- Nika Vemdal and Gentry both put shots on goal early in the second half while Nilson-Hurtig missed wide left on a scoring opportunity at the top of the box in the 60th minute.
- Halle Ezell broke through for the Saints in the 80th minute when she collected a loose ball off a blocked shot from Gentry and scored for the equalizer.
- Allison Estanich headed a pass out of the air and on goal in the 89th minute but was turned away for the go-ahead goal.
- In the first overtime period, Ashlyne Hunt received passes from Gentry and Sara Lawler, got past the goalkeeper, and put in the go-ahead goal in the 92nd minute.
- Four minutes later, Lawler was given a penalty kick opportunity and put one in the bottom left corner of the goal to make it 3-1.
