Saints Upset No. 18 Cedarville on Gentry’s Game-Winner

ST. LOUIS – Lexi Gentry sent Maryville women's soccer to a 1-0 win over No. 18 Cedarville University with a late goal on Thursday evening. The Saints and Yellow Jackets were knotted up through the first 85 minutes of the game before the senior shot one through a crowded goalie box and into the net at 85:40.

Run of Play:
  • After two shot attempts by Maryville in the first 20 minutes, Cedarville put a shot on goal but was rejected by sophomore goalkeeper Gigi Yurevich.
  • The Saints maintained a majority of the possession through the first half, taking seven shot attempts to the opposition's two.
