Jacob Kroeger pitched a one-hit shutout to earn a 10-0 win over Hillsdale College on Friday afternoon. The Saints improved to 6-4 in 2024 after Kroeger's gem and a three-RBI performance from
Michael Long.

Maryville starter
Jacob Kroeger struck out three Chargers through a pair of scoreless innings before the Saints struck for a pair of runs in the bottom of the second.
Elias Stevens started the inning with a double and came in to score on
Jacob Hager's RBI single up the middle. Hager came in to score later in the inning on an infield single from
Andy Bunton.

The lead was extended to 5-0 in the fourth on
Josh Herget's RBI double and RBI singles from
Jack Zebig and Long.

A 1-2-3 inning from Kroeger in the sixth set up another crooked number posted by the offense. Herget and Bunton got on base for Zebig who drove in another run. Long drove in two more with a double and
Michael Gould followed up with an RBI single to make it 9-0.
Colin Bergmann then singled in Gould to put the Chargers in danger of a seven-inning mercy rule loss.

Kroeger struck out the side in the top of the seventh to end the game with a 10-0 final. The senior from Palmyra, Mo., finished his second career shutout with eight strikeouts while allowing just one hit.
