INDIANAPOLIS – Jack Zebig and Ben Prywitch swept the Great Lakes Valley Conference baseball weekly awards on Monday. The sophomore shortstop blasted four home runs, hit .615, and drove in 10 runs in a four-game sweep of Upper Iowa University to earn Player of the Week while Prywitch threw a complete-game victory in game three to win Pitcher of the Week.
 
Zebig started the doubleheader on Saturday with a two-home run game that included a three-run shot in the fourth inning and a grand slam in the sixth inning. He ended the game with three hits, seven RBI and three runs scored in a 10-0 mercy rule victory.
 
In Saturday's second game, he went 3-for-3 with a solo home run, two runs scored, and a walk. He continued his tear on Sunday, going 2-for-3 with a home run and two RBI in game one before a pair of walks in game two.
 
Prywitch earned Pitcher of the Week for his performance in game one on Sunday. The lefty from Chesterfield, Mo., completed the seven-inning game with nine strikeouts while only allowing three hits and one earned run.
 
Maryville is back at it against Quincy University this weekend. The four-game set kicks off on Friday, March 15, with a 2 p.m., start time.
