Richmond, Ky. – The Maryville women's golf squad took 11th place at the Findlay Spring Invitational in cold and windy conditions at Boone's Trace Golf Club Tuesday. The Saints shot 330 in the first round, completed round two Tuesday morning at 314 and carded a 327 in the final round to finish with a total of 971.

Fernanda Diaz-Pizarro, in her first competition of the season for the Saints, opened with an 83, shot 77 in round two and closed with a 79 for a total of 239. She topped the Saints and was tied for 40th overall.
Maddie Vanderheyden, who was seeing her first tourney since September 2023, trimmed 10 shots off her round one score with a 77, which featured three birdies. She followed with three more birdies en route to an 80 to finish at 244.

Effie Perakis posted rounds of 80-84-83=247 to finish third for Maryville, while
Ivy Lai came home with scores at 84-79-85=248.
Jenna Clark carded 83-81-87=251 to close out the action for the Saints.

Findlay won the team crown by one shot over Indianapolis with a three-round total of 889, while Mary Kelly Mulcahy snared individual honors with a total of 215.

The Saints are next on course March 25-26 as they play in Missouri Western's Holiday Inn Express Spring Invitational in St. Joseph, Mo.
