SPRINGFIELD, Mo. –
Noah Arras and
Matt Schuler led Maryville University baseball past Drury University in game two of Saturday's doubleheader. The Saints move into a tie for second place in the Great Lakes Valley Conference with a 22-9 record in league play.

Game One Recap
Drury took a 5-0 lead through the first three innings of the game before
Colin Bergmann scored after a
Camden Ruby single and an error. Ruby scored on an RBI triple from
Michael Long in the next at-bat to pull Maryville within three.

Two more runs came home in the fifth on a solo home run from
Elias Stevens with one out and an RBI double from Bergmann that plated
Matt Schuler two batters later. In the sixth, the Saints tied the game on an infield single from
Jack Zebig and took the lead on
Elias Stevens' sacrifice fly.

Down to their final two outs, the Panthers got a game-tying double from Luke Burk to tie the game. In the bottom of the eighth, the Saints bullpen got the first two outs of the frame before a triple, a hit-by-pitch, and a walk-off single from Max Elmer ended the game with a 7-6 final.

Game Two Recap
Back-to-back walks in the top of the second had the Saints in business in game two after a scoreless first inning. Ruby took the opportunity and doubled home a run to put his team ahead 1-0.

In the third inning,
Andy Bunton, Zebig, and Stevens got on base in front of Schuler who blasted a grand slam for his 11
th home run of the season. The visitors pushed the advantage to 7-0 in the fourth on an RBI groundout from Zeibg and an RBI triple from Stevens.

Noah Arras got the start on the mound for Maryville in game two and did not surrender a run until the bottom of the fifth inning. He ended his day after five innings of work, three earned runs, and three strikeouts.

Griffin King took over in the sixth and finished off a 7-3 Saints win with a pair of scoreless innings and two strikeouts. He retired all six batters he faced in order to seal up Maryville's 30
th win of the season.
