Faith Hawthorne scored a team-high 13 points and
Alicia Burgos reached a career best with 12 points as the Maryville women's basketball team rallied to take down McKendree 69-65.
Lindsey Schadewalt added 11 points, while
Gracie Stugart finished with a game-high 11 rebounds to go along with nine assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Saints trailed 58-51 with 6:25 before starting a sparkling rally. Burgos sank a jumper before Schadewalt scored on two straight trips. The Bearcats answered with a bucket but Hawthorne converted on a driving layup. Stugart fed Schadewalt for a layup that gave the Saints a 61-60 advantage with 1:39 to play. The Saints stretched out their lead with when Krohn scored, and Schadewalt converted two at the line for a 65-60 lead. The Bearcats pulled two points back before
Caden Krohn made one free throw. The Bearcats mounted a late push with a 3-pointer but the Saints put the game away with three free throws in the final seconds.
