OWENSBORO, KY. – For the second straight tournament, Fernanda Diaz-Pizarro won medalist honors as the Maryville women's golf team claimed the team title at the Bill Crabtree Invitational in Owensboro, Ky. Kelly Wang finished in second place to give the Saints the top two finishers. The Saints posted team scores of 302-309=611 and defeated McKendree by three shots.
 
Diaz-Pizarro posted back-to-back rounds at par and finished with a 144 total. She posted six birdies during the tournament, including four in the final round, to top the field of 40 players. Wang carded scores of 71-77 to finish as runner-up. Her opening one-under-par 71 was the best round of the tournament.
 
Kylie Yiengst finished in a tie for 14th after carding rounds of 79-78=157. Chloe Fong was Maryville's final golfer and recorded scores of 80-82=162 to round out the scoring for the Saints. The Saints have won the Bill Crabtree Invitational in back-to-back seasons at The Pearl Club.
