INDIANAPOLIS – Just days after scoring the game-winning goal in the Great Lakes Valley Conference (GLVC) Tournament quarterfinals at the University of Indianapolis, Maryville men's soccer forward Sebastian Weitlaner has been named to the All-GLVC First Team.

Weitlaner also represents the Saints on the James R. Spalding Sportsmanship honorees list. The award honors student-athletes who have distinguished themselves through sportsmanship and ethical behavior. These individuals must also be in good academic standing and have demonstrated good citizenship outside of the sports-competition setting. The honorees are now eligible to become one of their school's two Spalding Sportsmanship Award winners, which will be announced at the end of the academic year.
 
The All-Conference awards are nominated and voted on by league coaches, who, per GLVC Bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own players.

Maryville's leading scorer this season, Weitlaner finished the regular season with nine goals and added another in the GLVC quarterfinals. He started 12 of 13 matches played, led the team with 29 shots, and placed 20 on target, posting the highest shot-on-goal percentage among Saints players.
