For the inaugural season of Great Lakes Valley Conference men's volleyball, Maryville University has been voted to finish second in the league in 2026, the conference office announced Tuesday. The preseason poll is selected by the league's head coaches, who, per GLVC bylaws, are not permitted to vote for their own teams.
The Saints garnered four first-place votes and 43 total points to earn the second position. Rockhurst was the pick by the coaches to take the regular season title with three first place votes and 44 poll points, while Missouri S&T was slotted for third. Quincy was chosen for fourth, Roosevelt fifth and the University of Jamestown was sixth. Thomas More and Southwest Baptist rounded out the voting.
Leading the Saints in 2026 will be junior
Makai Scott who finished with 307 kills to go along with 211 digs and 32 blocks.
AJ Robateau had 79 kills a year ago and hit .403 on the campaign. Libero
Zac Clark led the team on the defensive front with 240 digs to go along with 52 assists.
The Saints added six newcomers to the 13 returners back for action in 2026.
