HUNTSVILLE, ALA.  –
Jake Grebe's hat trick and four points powered the Maryville men's lacrosse team to a 14-3 victory at Alabama-Huntsville. The Saints reeled off nine straight goals to pull away for their third straight win. The Maryville defense surrendered only one goal over a 41-minute span. The three goals surrendered are the fewest in a game since allowing just one to William Jewell April 10, 2024.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Tied at 1-1,
Luke Chorlton scored to give the Saints a lead they would not surrender the rest of the way. Grebe fired in his first of the day, and
Ben Mickett tallied to open the second quarter. UAH pulled one goal back but
Justin Simonson scored the first of nine straight by Maryville. Grebe recorded his second as the Saints took a 6-2 lead into the break.

Mickett had another early goal in a quarter, with
Connor Kvaal scoring off a Grebe assist. Grebe completed his hat trick before
Trent Zimay and
Jack Tocko tallied to end the third quarter.
Clayton Cerett and Zimay scored in the fourth before UAH finally scored after more than two full quarters of game time.
Jared Norris tacked on the final goal to end the contest. The Maryville defense only gave up nine shots on goal, and
Dylan Radke stopped five shots on the day.
