Four From Maryville Men's Lacrosse Gain USILA All-South Region Recognition

The Maryville University men's lacrosse team had four selection to the 2026 All-South Region Team as announced by the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA). Carter Bies, John Chorlton and Wyatt Robertson were named second-team All-Region, while Zach Johnson garnered third-team All-Region honors.
 
Bies, who was a USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American honorable mention selection at SSDM, had 16 caused turnovers to go along with 43 ground balls. He added six assists on the season. A first-team All-GLVC honoree, Bies helped a Maryville defense that ranked 18th in the nation in scoring defense at 9.07 goals allowed per game. He grabbed a career-high eight ground balls against Indianapolis and had at least three GBs in seven contests.
 
The GLVC Defensive Player of the Year in 2026 as LSM, Chorlton was also a USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American honorable mention choice. He led the Saints defense that ranked 18th nationally in scoring defense. He was second for Maryville and ranked fifth in the league in caused turnovers per game at 1.67 and grabbed 37 ground balls on the season. In addition, he scored four goals and picked up one assist.
 
Robertson was chosen the Offensive Player of the Year and the third to garner USA Lacrosse Magazine All-American honorable mention, led the GLVC in goals (48) and goals per game (3.20) and ranked 14th nationally. He was third in the country with 10 man-up goals. Robertson had 11 multi-goal games and poured in a season-high six goals against nationally ranked opponents Alabama-Huntsville and Rollins. He posted a .647 shooting percentage on the season and recorded 39 ground balls.
 
A junior defender, Johnson was a key on the Saints defense that ranked 18th nationally in scoring defense. He led Maryville with 29 caused turnovers and was third in the league at 1.93 CTs a game. Johnson added 36 ground balls and also scored one goal on the season.
 
The Saints earned a share of the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference regular season title and reached the championship game of the GLVC Tournament.
