Box Score ROMEOVILLE, ILL. – In the championship game of the 2026 Great Lakes Valley Conference Tournament, the Maryville men's lacrosse team fell at No. 1 seed and host Lewis by a 16-10 score line.
Trent Zimay fired in four goals, while
Wyatt Robertson tallied a hat trick.
Evan Alfano came up with 12 saves in cage for the Saints.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Zimay opened the scoring in the second minute of play before the Flyers took the lead. Robertson tied the game but Lewis scored in the final minute to take a 3-2 lead after the first quarter. The Flyers made it 4-2 before
Brenden Bloedel answered for the Saints. However, Lewis reeled off five straight goals to grab a 9-3 advantage. Zimay and Robertson scored helped the Saints get back into the contest with goals exactly one minute apart to trim the Lewis cushion down to 9-5 at intermission.

Zimay opened the third quarter by completing his hat trick but the teams ended up trading goals the rest of the frame.
Shea Raeburn won a faceoff and sprinted down the lane for a tally that made it 10-7. Zimay and Robertson found the back of the net again but Lewis held on to a 13-9 lead heading into the final quarter.

The Saints pressed forward looking to close the gap but the Flyers pushed across two goals in the fourth that put the game out of reach in the waning minutes.
